It is hard to believe that one beautiful summer day, Elizabeth city weather will be coming down. The cool weather will be welcome in the mornings, but also makes it a perfect time to start making dinner. I love my salmon steak and the sweet potato casserole with the fresh dill.
The weather on Elizabeth has been a lot hotter and wetter in the past few weeks. We’ve had some serious flooding and our city is already starting to feel like an island. It’s also nice to know the city is still going to be the center of this zombie outbreak movie.
This week has been a pretty good one for zombie movies. It just keeps getting better for us. The sequel to the first one, The Walking Dead, has just been released with good reviews. The third one, Rise of the Dead, is coming out next week and it looks very promising. This summer we’ve also got The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which is also coming soon.

It was the zombie movie I had my worst-ever experience in.
The film that broke the zombie movie franchise and ruined the summer for most of its devoted fans (and the rest of us, as well) is called The Walking Dead. There was no way the film could have been even worse than the zombie movie, but it was. It was so bad that even the zombie movie industry decided to drop its rating for The Walking Dead so that the film can be made into a movie. And guess what? It sucks.
The Walking Dead had an insane cast and crew, not to mention a great script, and a whole bunch of cool zombie characters. The whole movie was incredibly fun and, if not for the fact that the film has been ruined by our current government, would be fantastic in its own right.
In the current political climate, we don’t want to mess with the zombie movie. I know this is not the place to mention the fact that The Walking Dead has a pretty clear political slant, but the movie clearly isn’t for the masses. It’s not about zombies, it’s about a bunch of people trapped inside a huge, mysterious mansion and having to navigate an extremely stressful time. All the political commentary isn’t bad, it’s just that the political commentary is not for the masses.
In our book, Zombies are a very real concern and a very real threat to our society. They represent a whole class of person who have no other way to exist. The reality is that, unlike the zombie, the government has been trying to eradicate this class of person for years.
